Parquet

1. Sweep and damp mop timber floor weekly.
2. NO WET MOPPING
3. Always move furniture by lifting.
4. Wipe up liquid spill with cloth immediately
5. Place floor mats at entrance to prevent dust and dirt that might scratch timber floor
6. Always use floor protectors on legs of furniture

 

Laminate Flooring

1. Vacuum or sweep and damp mop laminate floor
2. Always wipe up spill with cloth immediately
3. DO NOT wax or polish Laminate floor
4. DO NOT use abrasive cleaners
5. Place floor mats at entrance to prevent dust and dirt that might scratch Laminate floor

FAQs

1) How do you take floor measurement?
 
- Multiplying the width and length of the area
- Converting the area measured to square feet.
- Adding 5%-10% to the area measured to include wastage of material, especially irregularly shaped room.
- Skirting is calculated by feet, and depends on the perimeter of the room.
 
 
2) Why are some pieces of wood in my room darker/fairer than other pieces of the same floor?
Timber is a natural raw material, even the same type of timber may differ in color. It is a very common occurrence with timber flooring.
 
 
3) Do I need to buy expensive cleaning solution to take care of my timber or laminate floor?

4) How to remove some common stains on the timber floor?
Always test cleaning solution in a small area not easily detectable before applying it onto the entire stain area. A few cleaning tips for different stains:
- Use cold water for blood stain
- Alcohol for ink and lipstick stain
- Soap base cleaners for beverages stain, and
- White spirit to remove oil and shoe polish stain
 
 
5) Why is my floor color different from the time it was installed?
- Wood will change color as it ages.
- To prevent uneven colour, it is advisable to move carpet or furniture around to allow uniform aging and colour change
